Selecting a dog
If you have doubts about selecting a dog that is right for your family
. . . whether you obtain your dog from a breeder, local shelter or rescue
organization, you may want to seek outside help. This service can also
alert you to potential problem areas where behavior modification can be
of benefit; how to shape inappropriate behavior either before it becomes
a problem or afterwards.
This consultation is done in your home on a one-time basis. A behavioral
workplan, back up material and two follow up phone calls are included.
($175 on-site session, approx 1 1/2 to 2 hours)
Welcoming your new dog
Before or after the arrival of your new four-footed family member, you
will need to think about how you will go about welcoming him or her into
your life. For example, assistance is provided in how to deal with housetraining
issues, puppy-proof your home, make introductions to young children, felines
and other canines.
